The CAPiTA Defenders Of Awesome Snowboard ($439.96), the DOA, is the most awarded deck in this guide. This board has won the Good Wood award seven years in a row. It is Capita’s best selling board, and it is a board that I own as part of my own collection. You can read my full in-depth Capita DOA review to learn how it feels to ride it.

The DOA is perfect for riders who want an all mountain deck that leans more freestyle. This board has a hybrid profile shape that Capita calls “Resort V1 Profile Camber.

The profile of the Capita DOA looks like this.

Capita Defenders of awesome 2025 board profile

Basically, it has small rocker contact points, and the deck itself feels more like a camber profile board. The real feature that makes this board truly awesome is that it has carbon fiber strips running through the deck to help give it a springboard like pop. If you lean back to pop before you ollie, you can get this board to launch you even on flat ground. Originally, I bought this deck because I wanted an all mountain deck that leaned more towards being a park board. I thought I was getting a camber board that could flex. It flexes a little bit. However, you are going to have to put some effort in and lock in nose and tail presses perfectly to really see that benefit for presses. This board is designed to launch you and take all the abuse you throw at it.

If it has been a few years since you’ve considered the DOA, take another look. Two seasons ago it was redesigned with a new wooden core specifically to make it feel lighter. in the 2025 version, Capita is keeping the new lightweight core. The new core is a blend of Poplar and Paulownia wood assembled in a way that makes the board retain its pop and durability while being incredibly lightweight.
